Head Coach, Susan Decker sdecker@bakeru.edu

Susan Decker enters her ninth season as head coach of the Baker women’s basketball team with the highest win total in Baker history at 135 games. Since taking over the Lady Wildcat program, the team has experienced new levels of success on the hardwood.

Coach Decker has guided Baker to several 21 win seasons, (2001-02, 2003-04, 2004-05) setting school records for number of games won in a single season.

In addition to achieving success on the court, Coach Decker’s teams have also been very successful in the classroom.  In the previous seven years of working with the Baker women’s basketball program, her teams have produced 19 NAIA Academic All-Americans.

Coach Decker graduated in 1992 from Tabor College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.   Decker was an NAIA first-team All-American selection in basketball and was a three-time District 10 Player of the Year and a two-time KCAC Player of the Year. She also helped her team to two undefeated conference championships and led the Tabor Bluejays to the national tournament.  In 1996, Decker received her master’s degree from Emporia State University in Physical Education.
