Baker baseball set to team up with Keepers of the Legends

Baker splits four game series with MidAmerica Nazarene; KU up next

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker scored just four total runs in the entire series against the Pioneers, but it ended up being enough to earn a split this past weekend.

Chris Cummins picked up his team leading eighth victory in the series opener on Friday. Cummins gave up just three hits and one earned run in the complete game 2-1 victory. Josh Zach, Brett Lechien and Bryan Kindle led the BU offense with two hits apiece.

No. 17 Tabor overpowers Baker in non-conference action

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University baseball team couldn’t overcome the offensive power of 17^th ranked Tabor College on Tuesday evening. The Jays‘ took the opener 10-3 and followed that with an 11-4 victory in the nightcap.

Bryan Kindle, Steven Stewart, and Ryan Thompson all recorded RBIs in the opener, but Tabor’s seven unanswered runs in the sixth and seventh innings sealed the Wildcats’ fate. View the game one box.
