Three Wildcats score in double figures as Baker runs past Peru State, 91-71

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – A 19-5 run to open the game over the first seven minutes was all Baker needed to down Peru State College, 91-71 on Thursday evening.

In a game that was riddled with fouls, (46 total fouls) the Baker men made sure the final outcome was never in doubt. Corey Anderson and Ben Steinlage each scored a team-high 17 points, while Todd Eils added 15 to help Baker improve to 9-4 in the HAAC.

Baker finished the contest 31-for-52 (59 percent) from the field and 9-for-19 (47 percent) from beyond the arc.

Baker survives scare in 60-58 victory over Missouri Valley

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker matched its longest winning streak of the season on Saturday afternoon, knocking off Missouri Valley College, 60-58 for their fourth-consecutive victory.

Corey Anderson led all Baker scorers with 14 points, while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and 4-for-5 from the field. Ben Steinlage rounded out the Baker offense as the only other player in double figures with 10 points.

In a game that saw eight lead changes, Baker came through when it mattered most.

Ballard’s Ballers: Baker continues to rise in HAAC standings

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Defensive pressure is something Baker prides itself on each and every game.  Statistically, it shows.

The Wildcats enter Saturday’s contest with Missouri Valley College ranked sixth nationally with a field goal defense of 39 percent and ninth nationally with 29 defensive rebounds per game. Not to mention a rebound margin of +6.8, good enough for 15th nationally.
