Baker Soccer Has a Long, Successful History
Launched in 1985, Baker University's soccer program has produced 20 consecutive winning seasons. This success is evidence that when you play at Baker you are becoming a member of a program rich in tradition.
This proud resume includes four out of the last seven NAIA national tournaments, NAIA top 10 during the 1992, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2009 seasons, 11 conference championships, 10-time regional finalists, 25 NAIA All-Americans, 11 HAAC Conference Players of the Year, 40 Midwest Region Players, and 86 All-Conference players.
Our 35 NAIA Scholar Athletes and a team GPA of 3.27 make it clear that by joining the Baker soccer program, you are learning to achieve in a successful environment on and off the field.

No. 24 Baker men take season opener 2-1 over Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, Okla. - For the third year in a row Baker soccer recorded a win in the season opener with the latest 2-1 victory over Southern Nazarene University (0-1) Friday afternoon.
Baker (1-0) came out in a dominating fashion in the first half, taking seven shots, four of which were on goal. Baker didn't stop the relentless attack in the second half, the Wildcats recorded 10 shots, six were on goal.
Tom Lowndes broke the scoreless tie in the 56th minute when he blasted a free kick from 25 yards out into the bottom right corner of the goal.
In the 75th minute, the Crimson Storm tied the match 1-1 on a goal from Blake Rodgers.

Baker men ranked No. 24 in preseason NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The expectations are where they thought they would be coming into the 2010-11 campaign.
A strong core of returners should have Baker University’s men’s soccer team ready to challenge for another conference crown.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference champions in 2008, the Wildcats’ record was spoiled by five ties during their 11-3-5 season in 2009, a year after reaching the NAIA Sweet 16.

Griffin named to 2009 NSCAA All-America soccer team
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Each year the NSCAA selects All-America teams at the youth, high school and college levels. This year Baker will be represented by senior Matt Griffin. Griffin was also named to the 2009 Adidas-National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics third team, as selected by the NAIA Soccer All-America Selection Committee. Griffin, the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, led the Wildcats' defense all season.
All recipients of the award are invited to attend the All-America Luncheon at the Marriot Hotel in Philadelphia, Pa.
