Hi All,

I'm happy to report a bit on our successful outing at the HAAC tournament this past weekend (Sept 11 and 12) The HAAC fall tournament is now in its third year, and Baker's teams did themselves proud. Both teams are very young -- the women's team has no-one on the roster "older" than sophomore status! The men's team was little short-handed, as Steve Donly took an opportunity offered by his folks (a reward for great grades last year) to go the US Open in New York for the weekend, where he managed tom see final action in the men's and women's semis. Dylan Gatton was also out of action, but will be joining us in the spring. #2 doubles team Keith Pipkin and Drew Richter whipped a very tough team from Lindenwood to start, but fell to Jewell's #1 team after a grueling battle. Singles went well, but no player played "in" to the bracket.

The tennis teams compete year-round. The limited fall season focuses on individual performance at several tournaments.

The spring season is all about team match play and building for the conference tournament. The winner of the conference tournament advances to the NAIA National Tennis Tournament in May to compete for a national championship.
