Wildcat wrestlers complete successful road tripBrandon Gebhardt

Hastings, Neb. - The Baker University wrestling team kicked off 2010 with a bang this weekend in Hastings, Neb., by improving its dual meet record to 3-0, with a 27-12 victory over Hastings. Nine Wildcats placed in the Hastings Open the following day.

The Wildcats are halfway through their scheduled dual meets, with a perfect 3-0 record, all over Nebraska colleges. The Wildcats won 7 of 10 matches over the Broncos. The following day the Wildcats added more firsts to the first-year program’s list of accomplishments.

Baker takes down Hastings 27-12, improving to 3-0

HASTINGS, Neb. - The Baker men's wresting team improved to 3-0 Friday evening when they defeated Hastings College 27-12.

Looking forward to 2010

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - 2009 marked the beginning of a new era at Baker University with the addition of men’s wrestling. The Wildcat wrestling program hit the ground running with 35 new student-athletes from around the country. Now, 2010 will begin the culmination of the Baker wrestling program’s inaugural season.

Off to an undefeated 2-0 start in dual competition, head coach Jimmy May (pictured) and the Wildcats are preparing for the second half of their first season with a very busy January and February before heading to the NAIA National Championships in Oklahoma City in March.
