Men’s cross country grabs Top 25 finish at NAIA National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Head cross country coach Zach Kindler has said it all season: He’s has a Top 25 squad.
Saturday afternoon the Baker men’s cross country team solidified that statement finishing 25th at the 2011 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championships.
Junior Aaron Caldwell led the Baker squad in the men’s 8K with a time of 25:59, good enough for 128th place overall.

Baker men look to make a mark nationally at NAIA National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The 56th Annual NAIA Men’s and 32nd Annual Women’s Cross Country National Championships will take place Saturday at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash. The men’s 8K championship race will start at 10:30 a.m. PST, followed by the women’s 5K at 11:45 a.m.
Baker, the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference Champions will look to gain some respect on the national level this weekend. The Wildcats were on the verge of breaking into the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll on numerous occasions throughout the season, but were never able to receive enough votes. Saturday they will have the chance to prove their doubters wrong.

Baker men’s cross country takes HAAC title

FAYETTE, Mo. – The Baker University men’s cross country team won the 2011 HAAC Championship on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Central Methodist University.
Aaron Caldwell led the Baker runners with a time of 26:01 in the men’s 8k race, good enough for fifth-place overall. Corey Clark finished in eighth with a time of 26:28 and Taylor Nall finished in ninth with a time of 26:31.
