Keslar named new bowling coach at Baker University

Keslar brings over 30 years of experience to Baker University.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University has tapped the professional ranks for its new head women's bowling coach. Theresa Yetmar, Associate Director of Athletics , has announced the appointment of Cheryl Keslar to lead the university's bowling program. "To have a renowned professional bowler join our program should give us some immediate local and national attention," said Yetmar. "Cheryl Keslar is an individual with great charisma, style and grace. Coach Wilson will be greatly missed, but we certainly understand the valuable time she is going to gain being with her family. I wish her the best in her future endeavors."

Coach Kristal Wilson announced she would step down as head coach to spend more time with her family and pursue other personal goals.

Wildcats close out season at McKendree Baker Challenge

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Baker University women’s bowling team placed 18th at the weekend McKendree Baker Challenge.

At the team event, the Wildcats had a total pinfall of 5,185.

The event was the final competition for the Wildcats in 2009-2010, the inaugual year for bowling at Baker.

Campbell ranks No. 28 nationally among rookiesCaitlin Campbell

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Freshman Caitlin Campbell leads the Baker women's bowling squad in its first year of competition. Campbell, No. 28 nationally among rookies, averages a score of 170.17.

Campbell has posted top 20 finishes at two of the Wildcats' three events. At the MidStates Classic, Campbell finished 15th out of 70 bowlers with an average score of 169.7, and at the Ozark Invitational she also finished 15th with an average score of 174.6.

Baker will take a break in the action before traveling to tahe McKendree/Baker Challenge Feb. 6-7.
