Baker Women Place Fourth in William Woods Invitational

Fulton, Mo. - After a weekend of poor weather, Baker competed against a field of 12 teams from across the Midwest. Sophomore Krista Yaktine led the Baker women with scores of 88 and 84, finishing 12th. Senior Melissa Brown finished one stroke back, shooting scores of 88 and 85.

William Woods won the tournament shooting a two-day total of 632, which came as no surprise to Head Coach Karen Exon, "William Woods is exactly the team we thought they would be. It's obviously not a shocker that they came out on top."

Sophomore Dani Weimholt finished 19th and shot scores of 87, 94. Freshman Stacy Yowell, playing in her first college tournament after an injury-plagued fall season, shot rounds of 90, 93 to finish 23rd. Junior Amelia Harshfield returned from a fall study abroad semester in England to shoot rounds of 93, 98 to finish 30th in the field of 62 women.
