Baker men take fourth, women fifth at HAAC Indoor Championships
LAMONI, Iowa - The Baker University track and field squads competed at the 2010 HAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Graceland University this past weekend. The women's team placed fifth overall with 87 points while the men ranked fourth, totaling 74 points over the two-day event.
The Lindenwood women's and men's squads swept the championship, with each team capturing the 2010 HAAC Indoor crown.

Women take third place at NWU Triangular
LINCOLN, Neb. - The Baker women's indoor track and field team took third place this past weekend at the Nebraska Wesleyan Triangular with a team score of 75 points.
Senior Kayla Irwin (pictured) led the Baker women with a second-place finish in the women's pole vault at 3.15 meters. Freshman Helena Davis also finished near the top in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.20 meters to place third.
The Wildcats will be back in action Friday, Feb. 12, when they travel to Pittsburg State.

Younger athletes get their first taste of competition
LINCOLN, Neb. - The Baker indoor track and field team traveled to Lincoln, Neb., this past weekend to participate in the NWU Invitational.
A number of competitors got the season off to a great start. Freshman Corinna Papps (pictured) posted a 12th-place finish in the 1000-meter with a time of 3:21.54, and freshman Lindsey Brown took 14th-place in the 3000-meter with a time of 11:35.70.
