Kindler and company will look to make a splash in the HAAC

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University cross country coach Zach Kindler is thrilled the 2010 roster resembles the 2009 list of Wildcat runners.

The Wildcats return their top five runners from the men's and women's squad. Kindler, entering his fourth season at Baker, hopes the experience of placing fourth in the women's Heart of America Athletic Conference meet and fifth in the men's HAAC meet carries over this fall.

Baker women take 4th at HAAC ChampionshipsWomen's Cross Country

LIBERTY, Mo. - The Baker women didn't quite perform up to their standards on Saturday afternoon at the HAAC Championships. The women posted an overall time of 1:53:02.54.

Corinna Papps led the way for the Baker women posting a time of 22:15.15 in the 5K race. Following closely behind were Devin Freeman who came in 19th with a time of 22:21.31 and Molly Schmeidler who placed 20th with a time of 22:25.02.

Corinna Papps leads the way at Mid-States Invitational

Corinna PappsThe Baker runners traveled to Southwestern College this past weekend to participate in the Mid-States Invitational. Freshman Corinna Papps (pictured) led the Baker women to a 7th place finish out of 22 teams, posting a time of 19:43.77 (27th overall).  Freshman Lindsey Brown placed 34th with a time of 19:59.15 in the women's 5k run.  Baker will be idle next weekend before they head to the HAAC Championships the following weekend.  View the full results here.
