School of Nursing to celebrate 20th anniversary

Founded in 1991, Baker University’s School of Nursing will celebrate its 20th anniversary during the 2010-11 academic year. A reception and open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Pozez Education Center lobby will mark the milestone.

Since partnering two decades ago with Stormont-Vail HealthCare, the School of Nursing has graduated more than 1,000 students who have received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The University currently serves 170 nursing students.

Baker is fortunate to offer clinical learning opportunities at the facilities at Stormont-Vail HealthCare, a nationally recognized integrated acute health care center dedicated to providing in-patient and out-patient treatment services.

Honored for their excellence in services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program, our Stormont-Vail partners provide nursing students with state-of-the-art patient care facilities.
