1940s

Barbara (Bussing) Bradley, BS ’46, lives in Olathe, Kan., with her daughter, Laurie Hammeke and family.

1950s

Ilene (Hofmann) Dick, BA ’56, serves as a treasurer, Sunday school teacher and pianist/organist at a small country United Methodist church in Holton, Kan. She also volunteers at the Humane Shelter.

Annette (Turner) Maguire, BA ’53, and her husband, Mick, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Dec. 31, 2008 and have one son, Michael.

1960s

Judith (Close) Hogg, BA ’63, is retired from sales and lives in Spring, Texas.  She and her husband have a brokerage company. They enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren and two dogs. They also enjoy cruises and golf.

Sylvia (Ciggel) Jenkins, BA ’63, volunteers at Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo.

Kenneth Wickham, BS ’69, and his wife, Janet, recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. They live in Saint Charles, Ill.

1970s

Jeline (Kelsey) Harclerode, BA ’73, is the 2009 Emporia Master Teacher and has been nominated for Kansas Teacher of the Year. She is an eighth-grade Connect teacher at Emporia Middle School. Connect is a curriculum and technology integration course.

1980s

Nancy (Hodge) Blockcolsky, BA degree ’87, is president of the Kansas Music Teachers Association. She serves on the faculty of Manhattan (Kan.) Christian College and enjoys family life with her husband, Lyle, and daughter, Michaela, 9.

Cynthia (Adcock) O’Bryhim, BA ’81 and MAEd ’08, is a remedial reading teacher at Eudora (Kan.) Elementary School. She is enrolled at the University of Kansas to obtain her endorsement for English as a second language.

Jill (Sundell) Ziemann, BA ’81, is director of Gateway, a women in transition program, at Colorado Mountain College.

1990s

Don Austin, BME ’93, serves as principal of Laguna Beach (Calif.) High School after previously being the principal at La Sierra High School in Riverside, Calif. He completed his doctoral degree at Azusa Pacific University and has published several articles in the field of education. He and his wife, Paula (Hutchings) Austin, ’93, live in Laguna Beach with their children, Garrett, 12, Emilie, 9, and Kristin, 7. Paula coaches volleyball for the boys and girls teams at Laguna Beach and has won league championships with both teams.

Kelli (Dwyer) Diem, BS ’99, and her husband, Klaus, welcomed a daughter, Katrina Arlena, on Feb. 15, 2009.

Julie (Porterfield) Fiscus, BSN ’96, married David A. Fiscus on June 7, 2008. She obtained her Certified Nurse Operative Room certification in September 2008.

Michael Hobson, BA ’95, lives in San Diego with his wife, Adriana, and daughter, Lily, who was born on Oct. 11, 2007. He is a district business manager for Best Buy.

2000s

Emily Chapman, BS ’06, and Jarod Sigmund were married June 13, 2009, in Ottawa, Kan.

John Cross, BA ’05, is deployed to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division. He plans to return home in December 2009. His wife, Ashley (Kraus) Cross, BS ’05, works as a photojournalist at the Fayetteville Observer.

Chanda Hansen, MBA ’02, and Wade Palmberg were married Sept. 20, 2008, in Prairie Village, Kan.

Kimberly Kilmartin, BA ’08, has been accepted to the Doctor of Philosophy program at Oxford University.

Jenifer Koelzer, BS ’07, married Tyson Bahner on July 12, 2008.
