Alumni Weekend | Best three days in May

Whether you are commemorating a reunion year or not, Alumni Weekend is the place to reconnect, rediscover and renew your ties to friends and your alma mater.

Graduates from all classes at all schools are invited to join us May 18-20 for a memorable weekend, highlighted by the popular Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament in Olathe and the traditional Alumni Reunion Dinner and Social in Overland Park on Friday, May 18. On Saturday, May 19, you are invited to attend the Alumni Luncheon and evening Alumni Social in Baldwin City.

The Reverend Ken Burres, Class of 1956, enjoys attending the alumni social with friends.

A Fun-Filled Weekend

The Class of 1962 will celebrate at the Friday dinner at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel and Convention Center (make sure to note the new location for the annual Baker reunion). Members of the golden anniversary class will share their successes and receive Golden Medallions from Baker President Pat Long. Members of Zeta Tau Alpha will gather at the special event, celebrating a century of sisterhood on Baker’s campus.

The golf tournament, a benefit for Baker’s deserving student-athletes, will be at Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe. Players of all talent levels are welcome to play in the scramble. Spots are limited, so register soon.

The Alumni Luncheon on Saturday at the Allen Dining Room is open to all Baker graduates and their families.

The Alumni Luncheon on Saturday at the Allen Dining Room in Harter Union is open to all graduates, regardless of graduation year. Tickets are $15 per individual. We will honor Alumni Award winners for Family of the Year, Honorary Alumnus, Alumni Citation, the Grace Irwin Staff Citation and School of Education Wall of Honor inductees.

On Saturday evening, wrap up a memorable weekend at the social outside the Lodge on Highway 56. All alumni and their guests are welcome. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Stroll Campus

During your visit, make sure to tour the Baldwin City campus. There have been a lot of changes since last year, most notably the transformation of Mulvane Hall, the Alumni Center (the former Phi Mu house) and the new Welcome Center at Denious Hall.

By now, all alumni should have received information for Alumni Weekend from their class representatives. If you have not been contacted or want more information, call the Alumni Office at 888.781.2586 or email Debbie Papps, ’10, assistant director of alumni relations, at debbie. papps@bakerU.edu
