Alumni Center to hold open house
All Baker alumni will have a place to call home during Alumni Weekend.
The former Phi Mu sorority house at 519 Eighth St. in Baldwin City has served as the Alumni Center during the 2011-2012 academic year. Offices for the University Advancement staff are located in the house. The Alumni Center also provides areas for meetings and social events.
“Half of our alumni are unaffiliated, so now when they come back to visit Baker they have a home and destination,” said Lyn Lakin, vice president for University Advancement.
An open house for all alumni is set for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Alumni Center. Cookies and punch will be provided for alumni and their families. Be sure to stay awhile.
Phi Mu Social & Dinner
The Phi Mu alumnae will be welcomed back during the weekend. On Saturday, May 19, a social, dinner and program are planned for the sorority. The social will begin at 4 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m.
