Baker alumni invited for weekend of fun

Alumni Weekend 2013

A weekend of golf, reminiscing, awards and other activities await you at Baker Alumni Weekend 2013, a perfect opportunity to reunite with your lifelong friends and make new acquaintances. All alumni are welcome to join us May 17-19 for a memorable three days.

Our popular Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament, a benefit for student-athletes, opens the weekend festivities at a new location, the Alvamar golf courses in Lawrence, at 8 a.m., Friday, May 17. More Info

That evening all alumni are invited to the Alumni Reunion Dinner and Social at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel and Convention Center, where members of the Class of 1963 will celebrate their golden anniversary. Baker President Pat Long will present Golden Medallions to each member of the class. A photographer will take photos of all the classes being recognized for their milestone anniversaries.

The Alumni Luncheon on Saturday, May 18, at the Allen Dining Room in Harter Union on the Baldwin City campus is open to all graduates. Outstanding alumni will receive awards as the University recognizes the Family of the Year, Honorary Alumnus, School of Education Wall of Honor inductees, and the recipients of the special Alumni Citation and Grace Irwin Staff Citation. That evening, alumni will join classmates, family and friends at the Social at the Lodge on Highway 56. Refreshments and snacks are provided. Members of the 50th reunion class will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. to celebrate.

On Sunday, members of the Class of 1963 are welcome to join the commencement ceremonies as part of the Golden Alumni March.

During your visit, make sure to check out the latest renovations, highlighted by the Ivan L. Boyd Center for Collaborative Science Education, a spectacular transformation of Mulvane Hall and the addition of the Ross and Christine Hartley Hall.
