Overnight Program – Sample Student Agenda
Overnight accommodations for students will be provided at no cost. Students will room with another new student in a room in the New Living Center on campus. Students should bring along their personal linens & a pillow.
Thursday
1:30-2:30 p.m. | Registration and reception with Baker University faculty and staff
1:45 p.m. | World language placement exam
2:30 p.m. | Opening general session and enrollment information session
3:15 p.m. | Community standards and student privacy
4:15 p.m. | Orientation small-group time
5 p.m. | Dinner
6 p.m. | Reflections of a Baker Wildcat
7 p.m. | Breakin’ the Ice the Wildcat Way – The Quest!
8:15 p.m. | Wildcat spirit pep rally at sunset
8:45 p.m. | Wildcat Warm-up – Entertainment, food and fun!
Friday
7:30-8:30 a.m. | Continental breakfast available
8:30-10:25 a.m. | Orientation small-group visits to the following:
- Information Technology
- Student Health and Counseling Center
- Student ID Center
- Student Involvement and Resource Fair
10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. | Orientation small-group visits to the following:
- Academic Advising
- Common Reading Book Kickoff
- Financial Aid
- How I Met My Alma Mater session
12:15 p.m. | Students meet back with parents and family members:
- Optional campus and residence hall tours
- Optional Access Services appointments

Sample Parent & Family Agenda
Parents, family members, & guests are invited to attend the Parent & Family Orientation program, held in conjunction with the Summer Orientation & Enrollment program. This session introduces families to the academic programs & special services available at Baker. Overnight on-campus accommodations will NOT be provided for parents & family members.
