Check in at Parmenter Hall, then meet Residence Life staff in your residence hall lobby to check you into your new home away from home. Move-In Crew volunteers will be available to assist you, and your Wildcat Welcome orientation leaders will meet you on your residence hall floor.

1 - 3 p.m. | Sorority Houses Open for New Students & Family Members

Sorority houses will be open for all new students and their families. We encourage you to take a walking tour of the three Panhellenic Council sorority chapter houses. You can meet the house directors, see the common living areas as well as the members’ rooms, and ask questions of current members! Maps can be obtained at a Sorority Life information table in the residence hall lobbies or the Long Student Center lobby.

4 p.m. | Pep Rally Kick-Off & Parent & Family Send-Off

Don't miss out on this opportunity to catch the Baker Wildcat spirit with your fellow new students at the pep rally kick-off, including can't-miss performances by the BU dance team, cheer squad and WOWzer!

Meet your student or parents and family members to officially send them off as a Baker student and take a family photo in front of the Long Student Center!

Join your new classmates as we kick off Wildcat Welcome with an indoor picnic filled with music, mingling and more! Take the opportunity to reconnect with your Summer Orientation leaders! Don't forget to bring your student ID card for your meal plan.

6:30 p.m. | Class of 2018 Photo

Steps of Parmenter Hall

A picture is worth a thousand words. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of Baker history by having your photo taken with your new classmates. Current class photos can be found on the Long Student Center main level.

7 p.m. | Student Academic Welcome

Join your fellow class of 2018 members for an official welcome to the University by President Lynne Murray and Dr. Brian Posler, executive vice-president for academic affairs and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. You will also learn of all the exciting academic endeavors and opportunities that await you during your time as a Baker Wildcat!

7:30 p.m. | Traditions Walk & Playfair

Collins Gym

Be a part of this annual tradition! Join the class of 2018, King Arthur's Court, as you take the traditional walk you will take on graduation day, led by Baker officials while learning about your class's place in Baker history. After the walk,  participate in Traditions Night, where you will learn the Baker fight song and watch the annual Wildcat Welcome Orientation Leader dance performance!

Playfair is totally unlike anything else you have ever experienced! It's entertainment! It's fun! It's the perfect way to make new friends!

9 p.m. | Comedian Jessica Kirson

Rice Auditorium

Jessica Kirson's unique style and captivating stage presence captures the attention of audiences everywhere she performs. Her wide variety of characters brings a diverse energy to her routine. Once you've seen her amazing talent, it's easy to understand why she was selected to perform at the Hamptons, Comedy Central's South Beach, and HBO's Las Vegas comedy festivals. She was awarded "Best Female Comic" by the MAC association in New York City and recently accepted the Nightlife Award for "Best Stand-Up Comedian" in New York City.
