Pre-Enrollment Process | Baldwin City Campus

Interterm & Spring 2012

Advising Period | Monday, Oct. 17 – Friday, Oct. 28

The advising period from Monday, October 17 through Friday, October 28 should be used to discuss and plan your schedule with your advisor. Students will not be be released to enroll online or in person at the Registrar’s Office without first having met with their academic advisor.

Online Pre-Enrollment Period | Monday, Oct. 31 – Friday, Nov. 11

Interterm and Spring 2012 online pre-enrollment for all currently enrolled degree-seeking and teacher certification nondegree-seeking students will take place between Monday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 11.

  • Students will be allowed to self-enroll through MyBaker. Please remember that you will not be cleared to enroll online without first having met with your academic advisor.
  • Online enrollment is a real-time system in which your selections are immediately confirmed or a closed course is indicated. Therefore, it is to your advantage to enroll near the beginning of your designated enrollment period.
  • Identify alternative courses, in case a first-choice course closes before your designated enrollment time.

Real-time enrollment through MyBaker will occur according to the following seniority system based on hours earned:

 Online enrollment will open at 7 a.m. Baker IT and Registrar's Office staff will also be available at 7 a.m. on Oct. 31, Nov. 2, 4, 8 to assist with student portal and enrollment issues.

Note: Teacher-certification candidates who already hold a bachelor’s degree may also enroll from the first day of pre-enrollment.

Confirmation of Your Interterm & Spring Course Schedule

At the conclusion of online pre-enrollment period, the administration will review course enrollments for areas of concern. Your official pre-enrollment will then be available to you through your MyBaker student account late in the week of November 14. Expect to receive an email notification when these schedules are available for your review.

Late Enrollees for Interterm & Spring (November 18 & Later)

Late enrollees will not be able to enroll online but may submit an enrollment form to the Office of the Registrar for processing between Monday, Nov. 14 and the first day of the respective term.

Additional Adjustment Period for Spring Schedule

Students who enroll in spring courses during our online enrollment period and wish to make adjustments to their schedule may do so from Monday, Nov. 14 through the end of the semester, Dec. 15. Please submit an add/drop form to the Registrar's Office for processing.

  • The schedule adjustment option will expire at the end of the day on Thursday, Dec. 15, after which no changes will be permitted until the beginning of the spring semester.
  • Schedule adjustments cannot be made online.

Nondegree-Seeking & Readmitted Degree-Seeking Students

Nondegree-seeking and readmitted degree-seeking students may enroll beginning Monday, Nov. 14.

  • Nondegree-seeking students should make an appointment with the Office of the Registrar .
  • Readmitted students should make an advising appointment with their academic advisor and then proceed to the Registrar’s Office with the enrollment form to complete the enrollment process.

Officially Admitted Freshmen & Transfer Students

Officially admitted freshmen and transfer students may may enroll for Interterm and spring 2012 beginning Monday, Nov. 14. Interterm Enrollment & Confirmation

Students confirm their enrollment in Interterm by attending class, which begins on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Students who do not attend class by Wednesday, Jan. 4 will have their enrollment deleted.

Students planning a January internship should consult the career development center for deadlines surrounding completion of paperwork and internship approval.

Spring Enrollment Confirmation

The last day to confirm your enrollment for the spring semester is Tuesday, Jan. 24. Students will be notified in mid-January regarding details of the spring confirmation process.

The spring 2012 semester begins on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
