Artist & Lecture Series

The Artist & Lecture Series features cultural events that spotlight performers, artists and lecturers – a tradition that began in 1881 on Baker's Baldwin City campus. At that time four literary societies were formed that dominated intellectual and creative activity for more than 30 years by presenting music, dramatics, oratories and recitals. Over the years distinguished cultural events have exhibited the highest standards of entertainment and intellectual enlightenment. The current international scope of the Artist & Lecture Series embodies the global awareness so necessary for today’s audience.
Season tickets are $45 for adults and $25 for youth. Tickets are available at the Baker University Business Office in Constant Hall and the Music Office in Owens Musical Arts Building or may be purchased at the door 30 minutes before each performance.
Baker University students, faculty and staff with a valid Baker I.D. are admitted free to all events in the Artist & Lecture Series.
