Three Ways to Guide & Inspire Future Students
The curriculum for the art education major is drawn from three subjects:
- Studio art | Learn to create by studying various media, form, expression and technique.
- Art history | Learn about the art of others throughout human history and observe techniques and methods of expression used by the world’s greatest artists.
- Education | Courses specific to teaching art along with general education courses prepare you to take on a classroom of your own.
Major & Minors
The Department of Mass Media and Visual Arts offers a major in art education, and students work toward licensure in art (preK-12). Minors are offered in art history and studio art.
