Chemistry Scholarships & Financial Aid
During your time at Baker, you will be eligible for various types of financial aid and scholarships. General academic scholarships and scholarships for participation in campus activities are awarded starting your freshman year. Departmental scholarships awarded for academic excellence are awarded annually at the Honors Symposium, held each spring. Each scholarship stipulates in which year of study you are eligible.

Scholarships in Your First Year
The Department of Biology and Chemistry offers departmental scholarships. To apply, please submit a scholarship application and arrange for a science teacher to send a confidential letter of recommendation to the address listed on the scholarship application.
Based on your high school GPA and ACT or SAT scores, you may be eligible for one of several general academic scholarships. Learn which academic scholarships are available in your first year.
Scholarships in Subsequent Years of Study
As you delve further into your studies, departmental scholarships for academic success are awarded. The recipients of almost all of these awards are announced each year at the Honors Symposium, held toward the end of the spring semester.
The Department of Biology and Chemistry gives these awards with financial prizes to be applied to the following year's tuition:
