In addition to the professional education requirements, students pursuing licensure in the field of mathematics (6-12) must complete the following courses with a grade of C or better:
- MA 171 Calculus I, 4 hours
- MA 172 Calculus II, 4 hours
- MA 271 Calculus III, 4 hours
- MA 281 Introduction to Linear Algebra, 4 hours
- MA 291 Introduction to Higher Mathematics, 3 hours
- MA 332 Geometry for Teachers, 3 hours
- MA 355 Advanced Introduction to Statistics, 3 hours
- MA 362 Modern Geometries, 3 hours
- MA 383 Introduction to Modern Algebra, 3 hours
- ED 412 Methods of Teaching Secondary School Mathematics, 3 hours
- CS 175 Introduction to Computer Science, C++, 4 hours
