Mass Media Scholarships & Financial Aid
During your time at Baker, you will be eligible for various types of financial aid and scholarships. General academic scholarships and scholarships for participation in campus activities are awarded starting your freshman year. Departmental scholarships awarded for academic excellence are awarded annually at the Honors Symposium, held each spring. Each scholarship stipulates in which year of study you are eligible.

Scholarships in Your First Year
The Department of Mass Media and Visual Arts offers a $12,000 departmental scholarship to an incoming freshman or transfer student who plans to study mass media. To apply, please submit a scholarship application.
The Department of Mass Media and Visual Arts also offers participation scholarships to those who plan to be involved in the Baker Orange campus newspaper, KNBU-FM campus radio station or KNBU-TV campus television station and public relations. See participation awards to learn what is available to incoming freshmen. You also may be eligible for participation awards within other departments.
Based on your high school GPA and ACT or SAT scores, you may be eligible for one of several general academic scholarships. Learn which academic scholarships are available in your first year.
Scholarships in Subsequent Years of Study
As you delve further into your studies, departmental scholarships for academic success are awarded. The recipients of almost all of these awards are announced each year at the Honors Symposium, held toward the end of the spring semester.
