KNBU-FM 89.7 The Edge!

Baker's student radio station broadcasts live from Pullium Hall 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students get plenty of real-world experience as they plan, produce and promote their own shows. Each staff member has the opportunity to create his or her own voice on campus with at least one two-hour radio program a week.

Alternative rock, classic rock, indie bands, country, world music and rap, not to mention sports, politics and live guests, you’ll get a little bit of everything on KNBU-FM 89.7 The Edge!

Program Schedule

Sunday

6–8 p.m. | The Importance of Being Alex
What can we say? Alex is a dee jay who marches to the beat of his own drummer. But his quirky personality makes for an unpredictable and entertaining radio show!

8–10 p.m. | It Hurts to Be Happy
Tune in each week as Coop Cooper plays music and provides features that mock the EMO lifestyle.

10 p.m.–Midnight | The TGB Show
The longest running show in KNBU-FM history continues this semester with Kyle Davis steering the ship solo. The show still features classic rock-n-roll and unexpected visitors.

Monday

6–8 p.m. | Exposure
Host G (Genevieve Des Marteau) gives exposure to music and band information that you might not know about otherwise.

8–10 p.m. | Millard Fillmore and the Capital of Djibouti
This show wins the award for the most creative show title ever. We’re not really sure what Andrew Matz and Michael Wissmann do each week, but it includes music ranging from alternative rock to ska.

10 p.m.–Midnight | Relaxin’ with Atlakson
End your Monday nights with your host Chris Atlakson.

Tuesday

6–8 p.m. | Coast 2 Coast Radio
Hosts Boss C $cott and CP3 (Clarence Scott and Calvin Pearce) play hot hip hop hits.

8–10 p.m. | Open Source Radio
Paul Coleman hosts a show that features music of up-and-coming bands – many of them local. You’ll be able to say you heard it hear first!

10 p.m.–Midnight | The Catacombs
It may be the end of the day, but you’re just getting started when you tune in with Cate Richards! This is your home for metal and industrial music.

Wednesday

6–8 p.m. | What’s On Deck?
If you’re a sports nut, you won’t want to miss this show with host and KNBU sports director, Shawn Deegan.

8–10 p.m. | PM at Night
Patrick Mirch has had two cohosts in the past year and they’ve both left him. This semester, Patrick goes it alone.

10 p.m.–Midnight | Welcome to Wootstock
Dee Jay O (a.k.a. Olivia Hernandez) wraps up your Wednesday with dance and electronic hits.

Thursday

6–8 p.m. | Tasty Waves Radio
Steve Donly and Dani Wimholt host a show that features a variety of tasty tunes!

8–10 p.m. | The Heat
If you can’t take “The Heat” then maybe you shouldn’t tune in as JaNay Adgers and Christian Ricketts play some smokin’ hot music.

10 p.m.–Midnight | The B.E.A.S.T.
Take a little bit of music and throw in a lot of sports with hosts Nick Williams and Brad Barnes.
