The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to prepare students for our diverse world by providing experiences and opportunities for cross-cultural interaction, which serve to increase understanding and respect for our differences.

- Mungano (Brothers and Sisters United)
Promotes unity, tolerance and understanding of all cultures - Gay-Straight Alliance
Seeks to provide a safe and tolerant environment for students, faculty and staff regardless of their sexual orientation - Students for Globally-Based Initiatives
Focuses on building awareness of social justice through local actions that are influenced by an understanding of our global impacts
Activities
Summer Student Meet & Greet
Incoming students get a head start on fostering relationships and connecting to a support network by meeting students before classes begin.
Diversity Reception
New students meet members of Baker's diverse community, hear about diversity programs and events and learn how to get involved.
Monthly Cultural Awareness Celebrations
Celebrate and honor the history and traditions of a different culture each month. Several events are presented during the month and provide an opportunity for fellowship, learning and appreciation.
Candlelight Vigil
This celebration pays homage to those who have fought for justice and equality. The vigil features poetry and presentations by students and recognition of students within the Mungano organization and culminates with a candle-lit walk across campus while singing songs from the civil rights era.
Diversity Table
During this monthly lunch event, participants discuss issues, events and concerns regarding diversity on campus and around the world.
