Phi Mu is not just a sorority. Phi Mu is everlasting friendships and a bond that never leaves sisters through anything. Since 1916, when the Zeta Alpha chapter of Phi Mu was installed at Baker University, many women have known and cherished the love and sisterhood found in its members.
As the second women's sorority founded in the country and one of the largest organizations of its kind, Phi Mu is a sorority rich in tradition. The Phi Mu sisters strive to uphold the ideals of love, honor and truth that were set forth by their founders in 1852.
In striving to attain these ideals, the sisters of the Zeta Alpha chapter are dedicated to philanthropic activities that support the Phi Mu national philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network. The ladies of Phi Mu host two campus-wide fundraisers each year, Blizzard Bash in the fall and Pizza Palooza in the spring.
Phi Mu provides its members many opportunities to become involve in chapter and campus leadership. They are found in sports, theater and music groups. They are represented on Student Senate, Student Activities Council, Ambassadors and many other organizations.
The Phi Mu sisters also know how to have a good time. They participate in many social activities throughout the year, including the Neewollah Barn Party, Winter Semiformal, mixers with other Greek organizations and the annual Rose and White Formal. The ladies of Phi Mu also enjoy quality sisterhood events to grow as a chapter.
The most important aspect of Phi Mu is the strong bond of sisterhood, which is demonstrated through a vibrant alumnae network that assists newly graduated sisters in their career paths.
