parMentors
Baker University parMentors assist the administration in hosting University guests. They represent the University at events, including the Baker University Awards Banquet, alumni events and commencement ceremonies. parMentors sometimes greet guests on their arrival to campus, provide directions and answer questions about the University.
Each parMentor is mentored by a trustee or alumus, who provide networking opportunities and advice.
To qualify as a parMentor, students must be enrolled full time with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8. They must have completed 12 credit hours the semester before selection. Baker parMentors must be socially adept and responsible and be willing to learn about the history and traditions of the University.
Selection Process
All parMentor applicants must attend a reception in April. There they will meet with various officers of the University and the selection committee. Several days following the reception, individual interviews will be held. The selection committee will choose up to 20 parMentors each year.
