Each year the University invites the top 10 percent of its entering freshmen to join its Honors Program. Students are selected based on their test scores, GPA, and a faculty interview.
The program offers top students dynamic challenges with diverse opportunities to grow and become leaders. It also allows exceptional students to connect with others equally excited about learning. Honors students present their ideas at regional and national conferences, where they meet and make important contacts with people from around the world. The Honors Program prepares students for graduate school and gives them the experience they need to succeed at national scholarship competitions. The program also funds undergraduate research and attendance at cultural events.
