Career Offices of Small Metropolitan Colleges-Kansas City

The purpose of COSMC-KC and each of its participating career offices is to effectively maximize career opportunities for students, alumni and employers. Since its creation in 1989, the consortium of COSMC has expanded to include nine universities from the surrounding areas of Kansas City. COSMC Career Day, held at KCI Expo Center, provides employers with a chance to meet and interview students from nine universities giving a broad spectrum of exposure to quality candidates.

Greater Kansas City & Heart of America Employer Fairs

Each year Baker University sponsors two career fairs in a consortium of 20 universities and colleges. These career fairs are held at the University of Missouri at Kansas City each fall and spring.

Baker/Ottawa Teacher Fair

Each year Baker University co-sponsors a teacher interview fair with Ottawa University. School districts from Kansas, Missouri and elsewhere come to interview teaching candidates from both universities.
