Intent to Graduate

Degree candidates must submit the Intent to Graduate form before the completion of all degree requirements. It is recommended that students file their Intent to Graduate in January (for students who will complete their degree requirements between January 1 and May 31) and in June (for students who will complete their degree requirements between June 1 and December 31). The deadline for submission of the Intent to Graduate form is March 1 for a May degree conferral and October 1 for a December degree conferral.

Graduation Fee Due: $75

ALL students are assessed a nonrefundable graduation fee. Some degree programs incorporate this fee into the tuition costs and some degree programs assess this fee at the time the intent to graduate form is filed. Your degree program assesses the fee at the time the intent to graduate form is submitted. This is a fee associated with the many and varied resources necessary for tracking, awarding, and conferring your degree.

Final Degree Completion Confirmation

I understand that in order to be considered a candidate for degree completion AND in order to participate in the commencement ceremony (encouraged, but not required), I must satisfactorily complete all degree requirements.

  • Degree candidates who wish to participate in the winter commencement ceremony must have a plan on file validating that all degree requirements will be met on or before December 31.
  • Degree candidates who wish to participate in the spring commencement ceremony must have a plan on file validating that all degree requirements will be met on or before May 31.

I also understand that degree completion and commencement ceremony participation is predicated on successful completion of all degree requirements with the minimum cumulative grade point average as set forth by my degree program.

By submitting this agreement, I accept full responsibility for satisfactory completion of all remaining degree requirements as set forth in my degree completion plan.
