In addition to the professional education requirements, students pursuing licensure in the field of physical education and health (preK-12) must complete the following 50 hours of courses with a grade of C or better:

- HP 182 First Aid, CPR, & Safety, 3 hours
- HP 241 Techniques of Teaching Individual and Dual Sports, 3 hours
- HP 242 Techniques of Teaching Team Sports, 3 hours
- HP 243 Movement and Rhythm, 3 hours
- HP 244 Essentials in Sports Medicine, 3 hours
- HP 250 Practicum Experience in Health, 1 hour
- HP 339 Methods of Teaching PE and Health, 3 hours
- HP 343 Physiology of Exercise, 3 hours
- HP 346 Adapted Activities for Special Populations, 3 hours
- HP 347 Applied Kinesiology, 3 hours
- HP 388 Organization & Administration of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics, 3 hours
- HP 1XX Team Sports, 1 hour
- HP 167 Cross Training, 1 hour
- HP 245 Human Nutrition, 3 hours
