2009-2011: Played at Allen County Community College in Iola, Kan., for coach Valis McLean…The Red Devils made it to the playoffs, and Sanderson was named the team’s Hardest Worker…Most memorable performance was when he went 4-for-6 at the plate, with two doubles and three RBIs in a 5-3 win

2012: Appeared in 30 games for the Wildcats…Collected 19 hits on the season…Hit one home run and drove in 14 runs…Also had three doubles on the season…Had a fielding percentage of .947...Was second on the team with 142 putouts…Also had 15 assists on the season…Best performance came against Central Methodist where he went 6-for-7 at the plate, with two doubles, one home run and plated five runs

Personal: Miles R. Sanderson was born in Leawood Kan., and is the son of Mark and Martha Sanderson… Has two siblings: Max and Marshall…Dad, Mark, played football for Goddard High School where he was an All-League Selection at both center and linebacker…Played baseball at Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kan., where he was the Team MVP for the Lancers in 2007 & 2008… Honor Roll Student… Majoring in Molecular Bioscience.



Nomination Procedures

Anyone is eligible to write an open letter of nomination regarding an individual they believe to be worthy of induction to the Baker University Athletic Hall of Fame. The nominations must be received by December 31 to be considered for induction during the next calendar year. Once an individual is nominated, he or she remain in an active file for review by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. The selection committee sends recommendations in the spring to the President of the University for final approval for fall induction.
