After serving as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Park University for four years, Tyler Price joins the Baker University athletics staff in 2012 as the Assistant Director of Athletics – Communications.

In his tenure at Park, Price served as the primary media contact for both men’s soccer and cross country in the fall, women’s basketball and men’s volleyball in the winter, as well as softball and track and field in the spring.

Price will serve as the primary liaison between Baker’s athletics programs and the public. He will be responsible for serving the needs of not only the media, but also coaches, student-athletes, supporters and fans.

For the fourth straight men’s volleyball season, Price will also work as the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference (MAMVIC) Sports Information Director.

In that capacity Price will work closely with all 21 institutions and will continue to monitor the conference’s website and work with institutional media relations personnel. Price will coordinate the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Player’s of the Week along with the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Top 10 Poll.

For his work for MAMVIC, Price was named the 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NAIA Men's Volleyball SID of the Year.

Price also served as Assistant women's basketball coach at Park University during the 2011-12 season under head coach Kenneth Cooper. The Pirates began the 2011-12 campaign with one of the program's best starts posting a 10-1 record at the holiday break. Park advanced to the semifinals of the AMC conference Tournament for the second straight season, and finished with a record of 19-8 a winning percentage of .703, the second highest in program history.

Price is a proud member of NAIA-SIDA as well as CoSIDA. He has been awarded with eight NAIA-SIDA Top 10 in the Nation awards for his publications, including a second-place finish for his 2011 Park Men’s Volleyball Media Guide.

Price was also awarded with a second-plce finish in the 2013 NAIA-SIDA In-House Website contest for his work with Baker's official site for Baker University Athletics He and Assistant Director of Athletics - Operations, Andrew Patch and Neil Kubliski, Senior Director of Digital Communications & Emerging Media, were awarded for the honor.

A 2008 graduate of Kansas State University, Price spent three years in the Sports Information Department from 2005-08 as a Student Assistant. Along with assisting in the promotion of all 12 varsity sports at K-State, Price’s main responsibility was serving as the primary media contact for the women’s equestrian program.

After graduation, Price joined the Sports Information staff at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). After a few months promoting the NAIA, Price made the trek a few miles north to Parkville, Mo.

The Overland Park, Kan., native also worked in sports broadcasting early in his career, spending two summers working at NBC KSHB-TV in Kansas City as an Associate Sports Producer for the 38 Sports Spot television program and all evening KSHB-TV newscasts.

Price is an avid Kansas City sports fan and enjoys watching all Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Kansas State athletic events.

He lives in Overland Park, Kan., with his daughter Maria.

Terry Zerr, known as Coach Z brings enthusiasm, coaching experience and knowledge of the Heart of America Athletic Conference to Coach Dooley’s staff. Zerr, beginning his 14th season at BU, originally joined the Wildcat staff under longtime head coach Rick Weaver from 1997 to 2001 and returned for his second stint at the start of the 2004-2005 season.

The Hays, Kansas native began his coaching career at Eudora High School, where he served as the head boys basketball coach from 1990-1997. Between his two Baker stints, Coach Z served as an assistant coach for Mike Jeffers at Johnson County Community College, in the highly respected Jayhawk Junior College Conference.

As the top assistant, Coach Zerr will handle scouting, practice and game planning, player development, and coordinate recruiting efforts. He also will serve as a student-athlete mentor for the Wildcat basketball program.

Zerr has a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and a master’s degree from the University of Kansas.

Allyssa King enters her third year as the Head Cheer Coach at Baker University. During her first year, King led the Wildcats to a third-place finish in the HAAC Co-ed competition.

In 2013, Baker Baker finished second in the small coed cheer competition to Missouri Valley and second in the mascot division and helped the Spirit Squad capture the overall HAAC Championship banner. 

King was a member of the Baker Cheerleading program from 2004-2008, where she served as the captain for two years. In 2008, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Baker and currently works for the American Royal as the Event Coordinator for Equine Events.

Lynn Bott has been a certified athletic trainer since 1976. Before joining the Baker staff in 2005, he served The University of Kansas, first as an assistant athletic trainer under legendary Dean Nesmith for eight years, and then the director of athletic training services through 2004.

Bott has been involved professionally at the state, district and national levels. He has served as President of the Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society and the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association and served on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Board of Directors as the District 5 Director.

Bott was awarded the KATS Outstanding Service Award in 2000, Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association in 2005, inducted in the Kansas Athletic Trainer’s Society Hall of Fame 2006, inducted in the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2009, awarded the 2009 NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year, inducted in the University of Kansas Athletic Training Hall of Fame 2009, inducted in the NATA Hall of Fame in 2010 and inducted in the ESU HPER Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011.

A native of Dighton, Kan., Bott graduated from Emporia State University in 1975. He received his Master’s Degree in physical education specializing in athletic training from the University of Arizona in 1976. He and wife, Debbie, married now 38 years, have resided in Lawrence, Kan., for 36 years. Lynn and Debbie are the proud parents of two children, Mindi and Jason. Mindi currently resides in Manhattan, Kan., with her husband Brian Kastning and their children Lilian, Nicholas, Ericson, and Analee. Jason currently resides in Baldwin City, Kan., with his wife, Heather.

A veteran wrestling coach from Nevada and Missouri, Jimmy May joined the Baker staff in 2008 to develop Wildcats' wrestling program, which began competition in the fall of 2009. In the program's first two seasons, the Wildcats compiled an 11-0 in dual record, finished second in the Kansas Cup, third in the Central Region and 16th in the NAIA National Championships, which qualified them for the prestigious NWCA Cliff Keen National Dual Championships. In the 3rd year of the program, Baker Wresting finished 9th in the NAIA rankings and had 4 NAIA All-Americans, increasing the All-American total to 6 wrestlers in the span of just 3 seasons.

May served the Clark County (Nevada) School District from 1977 to 2008 as athletic director, dean, teacher and coach. He coached in the Nevada high school system for 31 years, along with a two-year stint as an assistant wrestling coach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As a head wrestling coach at Eldorado High School, May's teams won 18 (4A) Regional Championships and 10 (4A) Nevada State Championships. He coached 63 individual state champions and 19 high school All-Americans. His historic run of state championships has been highlighted as the "Dynasty in the Desert," and the wrestling facility at Eldorado High School is named in his honor. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Wrestling Coaches Association. In 2009 Coach May was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (Nevada Chapter) and Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.

May is a cum laude graduate from the University of Central Missouri and earned his master's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. May was a two-time MIAA Champion and a member of the University of Central Missouri Wrestling Hall of Fame. Coach May is the father of three children, April, Danny and Heidi.

Jerry Aligo

Jerry Aligo enters his twelfth consecutive season at Baker, but his history as a Baker coach dates to the Charlie Richard era. Aligo coached at Baker from 1988 to 1991 before serving as head coach for 15 years at McLouth High School and an assistant at Baldwin High for two years. He rejoined the Baker staff in 2002 and is a teacher at McLouth High School. The New Jersey native was an All-Conference and All-District 10 performer at defensive tackle for McPherson College in 1977.

Aligo's experience and knowledge of the game makes him a great asset to the Wildcat football program. Since joining Coach Grossner’s staff in 2003, he has been instrumental in the development of several All-American and All-Conference defensive linemen. During Aligo’s time at Baker, the Wildcat front four has continuously ranked as one of the top defensive units in the country.

He and his wife, Linn, have two adult children, Scott and Tony.
