University Archivist & Curator
of Old Castle Museum

Baker University, CAS, 1990

Brenda believed Baker was a special place and had a talent for discovering and preserving its stories, both the impressive tales of accomplishment and the quieter, harder-to-find stories of traditions and simple actions that embody the Baker spirit. She nurtured this talent over the course of her career here, which began in 1990.

In a 2007 interview for the 150th anniversary, Brenda shared some of her stories. Her extensive knowledge and passion for collecting and safeguarding the history of Baker and the surrounding area are gifts we will miss. But even more, we will miss her strong yet gentle spirit.
