Andrea Garritano is an ABD candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice performance at the University of Kansas. She holds an M.M. in Voice Performance from the University ofÂÂ Oregon, where she was a Graduate Fellow and Apprentice Artist with Eugene Opera, and a B.M. in Voice Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in her native New York City.
Recent operatic roles include Aida for Rimrock Opera and First Lady with Lyric Opera of Kansas City's Magic Flute. Last spring she was a soloist for the University of Kansas Orchestra's Opera Gala, performing at the Lied Center of the Performing Arts in Lawrence, Kan., and in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Mo. Ms. Garritano is an active recitalist and master class clinician; she teaches Applied Voice and Voice Lab at Baker University.
