Position: Assistant Coach
Entering his third season as assistant coach, Levi Calhoun graduated from Baker University in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
Calhoun has been instrumental in the Wildcats success on the mat during his tenure at his alma mater. He worked closely with two-time NAIA All-American Brandon Gebhardt throughout the heavyweights career.
Calhoun helped lead Gebhardt to back-to-back appearances in the 285-pound national championship match at the NAIA Wrestling National Championships in Des Moines, Iowa and worked with previous head coach Jimmy May to help qualify seven athletes for the national championship event last season.
During his time at Baker, Calhoun competed on the wrestling mat and the football field. He was a four-year starter for the Baker University football team and was a two-time First Team All-HAAC defensive tackle. Calhoun also wrestled at Baker from 2009-2011.
Calhoun was a two-time NAIA National Qualifier and finished his career with a fourth-place finish at the NAIA National Tournament to earn All-America status.
