Exercise Science Assistant or Associate Professor

Baker University is seeking applicants for an Exercise Physiologist/Kinesiologist for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the Department of Behavioral and Health Sciences to begin August 2012. The applicant must hold a PhD in exercise science or a related field by the date of appointment, and hold or be prepared to acquire ACSM certification. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in exercise physiology, human anatomy, kinesiology, as well as continued professional development, student advising, and usual service to the department and college. The college is currently implementing an innovative general education curriculum that will offer other opportunities for teaching. Applicants must be dedicated to teaching in a small (850-student) college setting with a 4/4 teaching load, and be committed to student-centered learning. This individual will advise and assist nontraditional students in completing associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in accelerated programs.  Must be detail oriented with excellent written, verbal, customer service, and organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in student advising, higher education administration, or academic records is preferred. Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Baker University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Computer Science at the assistant professor level beginning Fall 2012.

Requirements for the position include a master’s degree in Computer Science (PhD preferred), a record of outstanding teaching, excellent verbal and written skills, and a positive attitude of collaboration. The candidate must be willing to teach a broad range of undergraduate courses including introductory courses for non-majors, introductory courses for majors (C++), upper-level courses for majors, and courses in our liberal studies program. Some expertise in game development, development for mobile devices, and/or information assurance and security will be a plus. Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry

The Marketing Support Coordinator is responsible for inputting and maintaining prospective inquiries, attends, applications and admissions materials into the tracking system. Graduate Assistant | Women’s Soccer

Baker University is accepting applications for one graduate assistant, women’s soccer.  Baker University is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Division I) and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Responsibilities include working with the head coach in all aspects of the soccer program; assist in all practice sessions and games; assist in preseason and in-season conditioning programs; assist with day-to-day operation of program, including recruiting, clinics, game management, office duties, and compliance with all University, conference, and NAIA policies.
