Director of Enrollment Management
The Director of Enrollment Management is a highly visible representative of the University who will lead efforts to recruit undergraduate and transfer students to the Baldwin City campus and the School of Nursing. In the long term, the person in this position will also coordinate efforts to recruit students to other Baker programs including the Graduate School of Education, the School of Professional and Graduate Studies, and the Master of Liberal Arts program. The Director will serve as the principle communicator to students and parents both on an everyday basis and on special visit days and supervise all members of the admission staff. The Director helps enact a vision for both the strategic and conceptual elements of recruiting (e.g., timing and formats for communication to potential students) and the logistical elements in realizing this vision (college fair visits, high school visits, etc.).
Requirements: Demonstrated professional success in and an in-depth understanding of the admission and/or financial aid fields for students in both traditional and non-traditional programs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to colleagues, college students and parents. Good personnel management skills. Ability to engage an audience while describing the advantages of higher education and Baker University. Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of marketing techniques, social networking, and media formats is preferred. Prior experience in designing, managing and using a database system is preferred. Availability for some Saturday work (8 to 10 days per year). Prior experience in managing a budget is preferred. Prior experience in supervising recruiters and office staff preferred.
