    Jan Boyd JAN BOYD RETIRES Library Director Kay Bradt recognizes Technical Services Librarian Jan Boyd's 30 years of service at the library. She invites Baker students, faculty, and staff to Boyd's retirement party on May 18, 2006, at 3:30 pm in the library.

    Camp Meeting BATTLE OF BLACKJACK COMMEMORATION June 2, 2006, will be the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Black Jack. Events have been scheduled to commemorate the battle and the impact it had on the history and people of the United States. The schedule is as follows: Friday, June 2, 2006 - 5:30 PM to Sundown. Saturday, June 3, 2006 - 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For ticket information click here.

  • GIFT ITEMS The library is very fortunate to have friends who bring us gifts. Every year we add about a hundred of these gifts to the library. We can't always use all the gifts, but we put duplicates or items that don't fit the needs of the University on the free shelf. So far this year we have received:
    • 157 books
    • 60 compact discs
    • 1 set of audio tapes
    • 2 DVDs
    • 6 videotapes
    • 1,208 journal issues
    • and a couple of State Department drafts of the Yalta and Malta Conferences.
