Idealist.org is a project of Action Without Borders. It brings together over 60,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries. It is also the home of the Nonprofit FAQ. The FAQ is based on "frequently asked questions" – and their answers – drawn from the 'Nonprofit' email discussion forum (see http://www.rain.org/mailman/listinfo/nonprofit) and other online resources.

The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University offers programs in research, teaching, public service, and public affairs. In addition to supporting degrees in nonprofit management and philanthropic studies, the Center publishes research material on the nonprofit sector, including the Philanthropic Giving Index, which reports on the current trends and future expectations in American philanthropic giving.
