Mass media professor presents last lecture Sept. 21

Associate mass media professor presents his “Last Lecture” at 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Rice Auditorium. The event is part of a series hosted by Baker’s Student Activities Council. The public is welcome to attend.

Watson left an Emmy-winning career in broadcast news in 1997. After four years in the public relations field, he began work toward a doctoral degree and career teaching college students the ins and outs of media. During the process of becoming an educator, he looked back on his life for lessons he could share with his students. He recognized three major stages, and all could be described by a word starting with F. His talk, “The F Words,” outlines these lessons from his professional path.

If you can’t attend, watch via livestream.
