Former chair of music department to be honored

Baldwin City, Kan. — John Buehler, who recently retired as a Baker University professor and chair of the university’s music department after 25 years of service, has been named the recipient of the 2009 Harry Robert Wilson Award.

The award is presented annually to a Kansas choral director who has demonstrated a high level of commitment and contribution to the choral art in Kansas.

Buehler will receive his award at the Kansas Choral Directors Association Summer Convention July 9-11 in Topeka.
