Theater students honored at festival

Baldwin City, Kan. — Three Baker University theater students were honored last week at the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival Region V in Overland Park.

Bob Linebarger, Goddard, Kan., and Denver Little, Bentonville, Ark., advanced to the semifinals of the Region V Irene Ryan acting competition, which started with nearly 400 acting pairs. It marked the third consecutive year in which a Baker acting duo reached the semifinals.

Rachael Moon, Assaria, Kan., received a commendation for excellence in technical achievement in lighting design for Baker’s production of “The Visit.”

Universities and colleges from Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota form Region V.
