NEWS RELEASE Memorial service planned for former faculty memberBaldwin City, Kan. — A memorial service to honor Robert Kahle is set for 2 p.m., Friday, March 26, at First United Methodist Church. Kahle, a member of Baker’s faculty from 1963 to 1995, passed away on Feb. 28, 2010. At Baker, Kahle taught German, English, Senior Seminar and introduction to computing courses in addition to stints as the acting dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and director of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies. He also helped establish the Artist and Lecture Series and develop the Baker Faculty Hall of Fame. For several years, Kahle was the resident housefather at Sigma Phi Epsilon. |
