Statement on early-morning incident at Irwin Hall

Baldwin City, Kan. — Here is the statement from Steve Rottinghaus, director of public relations at Baker University, in regard to the Sunday morning incident at Irwin Hall:

“At approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday, there were reports of gun shots heard outside Irwin Hall. The residence assistants immediately called 911 and local law enforcement was on the scene within minutes. There were no injuries. The safety of our students is our top priority and we will continue to assist law enforcement officials in their investigation.”
