Baker student recognized with American Red Cross, leadership award
Baldwin City, Kan. — Baker University junior Kayla Anderson, of Alma, was recognized on Jan. 20 as the recipient of the $2,000 American Red Cross/NAIA Collegiate Leadership scholarship for actively organizing numerous blood drives on the Baldwin City campus.
From June 7-18, she joined other NAIA student-athletes across the country for leadership training at the Red Cross national headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Anderson majors in international studies and history at Baker and is completing a minor in social justice. She is a member of Baker's volleyball team, cheer squad and student senate. Anderson also has been the head chairperson for the Campus Issues Committee.
