Jazz vocalist to perform at Baldwin City campus

Baldwin City, Kan. — Jazz vocalist Erin Bode and her band,  Erin Bode Group,  will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at McKibbin Recital Hall on Baker University’s Baldwin City campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

Bode will be joined on stage by band members Syd Rodway, bassist; Adam Maness, guitarist; and Mark Colenburg, drummer.

The group recently released “Photograph,” which contains songs composed by the band during their 2009 visit to Kansas. Their  album “Over and Over” reached the No. 17 spot on Billboard’s chart for Top Jazz Albums in 2006. Based in St. Louis, the Erin Bode Group has appeared on the Fox And Friends Weekend television show and the CBS Saturday Early Show.

Bode and her band will share their talent, experience, and expertise with Baker students during a master class and lecture/demonstration at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
