NEWS RELEASE Baker Serves organization to collect canned foodBaldwin City, Kan. — Baker Serves, a community service organization for Baker University students, will collect canned food for the Baldwin City Community Food Pantry as part of a competition against Ottawa University’s GOTCHA student organization. The food drive will be during Wildcat Welcome Week Aug. 22-27, concluding before the Baker-Ottawa football game, set for 7 p.m., Aug. 27, at Liston Stadium. Donation boxes will be placed at the residence halls and at the Harter Union lobby throughout the week and at a table on game day at the stadium. The campus collecting the most canned food will be announced at the game and receive a plaque that will be displayed for a year at the winning university. Ottawa will be collecting items for the Ottawa food pantry. ### Baker University is committed to assuring student learning, and developing confident, competent and responsible contributors to society. |
