DeSoto captures championship trophy at marching festival

Baldwin City, Kan. — De Soto High School, which was awarded top ratings in marching band, drum lines and the color guard, received the Jeremy Frye Memorial Championship trophy at the 13th annual Baker University Marching Festival on Oct. 12 at Liston Stadium.

The Louisburg Marching Wildcat Band also received I ratings in all three categories. De Soto received 90.78 points and Louisburg 87.67 points in the marching portion.
