NEWS RELEASE Baker University alumnus honored as CNN HeroBaldwin City, Kan. — Mark Kabban, a 2008 Baker University graduate, has been selected as this week’s CNN Hero for providing free tutoring and soccer training to 200 young refugees through his YALLA program in the San Diego area. Kabban started the program in 2009. YALLA is an acronym for Youth And Leaders Living Actively, but in Arabic it means "Let's go."
